The Completion of the Sujūd al-Tilāwah Verses in the Qur’an

The continuation of the remaining Sujūd al-Tilāwah verses. This section will complete the list of the 15 Sujūd al-Tilāwah found in the Qur’an with:

🌟 13.6 Surah Al-Ḥajj (22:18)

 ۞ أَلَمْ تَرَ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَسْجُدُ لَهُۥ مَن فِى ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَمَن فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَٱلشَّمْسُ وَٱلْقَمَرُ وَٱلنُّجُومُ وَٱلْجِبَالُ وَٱلشَّجَرُ وَٱلدَّوَآبُّ وَكَثِيرٌۭ مِّنَ ٱلنَّاسِ ۖ

“Do you not see that to Allah prostrates whoever is in the heavens and whoever is on the earth and the sun, the moon, the stars, the mountains, the trees, the animals, and many of the people?”

(Qur’an 22:18)

📘 Tafsir Insight: Everything submits to Allah’s will, either consciously or instinctively.

🧾 Ruling: Prostration (Sujūd) is Sunnah Mu’akkadah when recited.

🌟 13.7 Surah Al-Ḥajj (22:77)

 يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ ٱرْكَعُوا۟ وَٱسْجُدُوا۟ وَٱعْبُدُوا۟ رَبَّكُمْ وَٱفْعَلُوا۟ ٱلْخَيْرَ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُفْلِحُونَ

“O you who have believed, bow and prostrate and worship your Lord and do good that you may succeed.”

(Qur’an 22:77)

🔎 Context: A call to establish full obedience and worship of Allah.

🧾 Note: This is the only surah with two Sujūd verses.

🌟 13.8 Surah Al-Furqān (25:60)

 وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمُ ٱسْجُدُوا۟ لِلرَّحْمَـٰنِ قَالُوا۟ وَمَا ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنُ ۚ أَنَسْجُدُ لِمَا تَأْمُرُنَا وَزَادَهُمْ نُفُورًۭا

“And when it is said to them, ‘Prostrate to the Most Merciful,’ they say, ‘And what is the Most Merciful? Should we prostrate to what you order us?’ And it increases them in aversion.”

(Qur’an 25:60)

📘 Insight: Describes the arrogance of disbelievers toward Sujūd.

🌟 13.9 Surah An-Naml (27:26)

 ٱللَّهُ لَآ إِلَـٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ رَبُّ ٱلْعَرْشِ ٱلْعَظِيمِ

“Allah there is no deity except Him, Lord of the Great Throne.”

(Qur’an 27:26)

📘 Preceding verse shows how the Queen of Sheba abandoned sun worship and embraced belief in Allah. This Sujūd affirms monotheism.

🌟 13.10 Surah As-Sajdah (32:15)

 ۞ إِنَّمَا يُؤْمِنُ بِـَٔايَـٰتِنَا ٱلَّذِينَ إِذَا ذُكِّرُوا۟ بِهَا خَرُّوا۟ سُجَّدًۭا وَسَبَّحُوا۟ بِحَمْدِ رَبِّهِمْ وَهُمْ لَا يَسْتَكْبِرُونَ

“Only those believe in Our verses who, when they are reminded by them, fall down in prostration and glorify the praises of their Lord, and they are not arrogant.”

(Qur’an 32:15)

🔎 Context: Reflects the humility of the believers.

🌟 13.11 Surah Ṣād (38:24)

 ...وَظَنَّ دَاوُۥدُ أَنَّمَا فَتَنَّـٰهُ فَٱسْتَغْفَرَ رَبَّهُۥ وَخَرَّ رَاكِعًۭا وَأَنَابَ

“…And Dawud (David) realized that We had tested him, and he asked forgiveness of his Lord and fell down bowing (in prostration) and turned in repentance.”

(Qur’an 38:24)

🧾 Note: Only Sujūd Tilāwah in Juz’ 23.

📘 Tafsir Insight: Symbolizes humility in repentance.

🌟 13.12 Surah Fuṣṣilat (41:38)

 فَإِنِ ٱسْتَكْبَرُوا۟ فَٱلَّذِينَ عِندَ رَبِّكَ يُسَبِّحُونَ لَهُۥ بِٱلَّيْلِ وَٱلنَّهَارِ وَهُمْ لَا يَسْـَٔمُونَ

“But if they are too arrogant, then those who are near your Lord glorify Him night and day, and they never tire.”

(Qur’an 41:38)

🔎 Context: Condemns those who refuse to submit, contrasting them with the angels.

🌟 13.13 Surah An-Najm (53:62)

 فَسْجُدُوا۟ لِلَّهِ وَٱعْبُدُوا۟

“So prostrate to Allah and worship [Him].”

(Qur’an 53:62)

🧾 Ruling: This Sujūd is Wājib (obligatory) during prayer if the verse is recited.

🌟 13.14 Surah Inshiqāq (84:21)

 وَإِذَا قُرِئَ عَلَيْهِمُ ٱلْقُرْءَانُ لَا يَسْجُدُونَ

“And when the Qur’an is recited to them, they do not prostrate.”

(Qur’an 84:21)

📘 Insight: A rhetorical verse criticizing the disbelievers’ arrogance.

🌟 13.15 Surah Al-‘Alaq (96:19)

 كَلَّا لَا تُطِعْهُۥ وَٱسْجُدْ وَٱقْتَرِب

“No! Do not obey him. But prostrate and draw near [to Allah].”

(Qur’an 96:19)

🧾 Final Sujūd of the Qur’an and one of the most spiritually rich verses.

📘 Tafsir al-Jalalayn: Prostration here signifies the ultimate submission and spiritual proximity to Allah.
