📖 The Qur’anic Call to Tawbah

Allah ﷻ says:

 وَتُوبُوا إِلَى ٱللَّهِ جَمِيعًا أَيُّهَ ٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُفْلِحُونَ
“And turn to Allah in repentance, all of you, O believers, that you might succeed.”
(Qur’an, An-Nūr 24:31)


True repentance involves:


1. Feeling regret for the sin


2. Abandoning the sin immediately


3. Resolving never to return to it


4. Returning any rights if others were wronged.


💡 Understanding the Phrases

Na daina aikin munkari  “I have abandoned evil deeds”

Na kama turbar Annabi ﷺ  “I have followed the path of the Prophet ﷺ”

Na tabbata da Ubangiji “I have firmly committed to my Lord”


This is a journey of purification and reformation.

🕋 A Hadith on Allah’s Mercy

The Prophet ﷺ said:

 التَّائِبُ مِنَ الذَّنْبِ كَمَنْ لَا ذَنْبَ لَهُ
“The one who repents from sin is like the one who has no sin.”
(Sunan Ibn Mājah, 4250)


This shows that sincere repentance wipes the slate clean a fresh start with Allah.

Make daily istighfār (seeking forgiveness)

Avoid repeating known sins

Replace bad habits with good deeds

Surround yourself with righteous company

Teach others the path of repentance
